Install SuperTextSwap
Install SuperTextSwap from the Chrome Web Store, or download the v0.1.9 ZIP and load it in developer mode.
Install from the Chrome Web Store#
Open the official listing, review the permission prompt and add the extension to Chrome. Pin its icon from the extensions menu to get started.
Download the release ZIP#
For developer-mode installation, download and extract the versioned ZIP. Keep the extracted folder in place.
Load it in Chrome#
- Extract the ZIP and keep the extracted folder.
- Open
chrome://extensions/in Chrome. - Enable Developer mode.
- Select Load unpacked and choose the folder containing
manifest.json. - Pin SuperTextSwap from the extensions menu and open its workbench.
Developer-mode installation is not Chrome Web Store approval. Keep the loaded extension folder in place.
Create your first rule#
Open an ordinary webpage, then open the extension. Enter the original and replacement text, start with the current-domain scope and add the rule. Test on sample text that does not involve submitting a form.
Updates & license#
For an update, check Releases and download, extract and load the new version. Personal and non-commercial use is free; commercial use needs written authorization. When asking for help, provide browser version, extension version and reproduction steps without sensitive page content.
